Protection of Rights in Sport Dispute Resolution

The ADR Institute of Manitoba is pleased to announce that we are partnering with the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada to host their annual conference this year in Winnipeg, on Friday, November 2, 2018.

This conference brings together mediators and arbitrators from across the country who are involved in sport dispute resolution, often at high levels. If you are interested in Alternative Dispute Resolution, we believe that some of the conference sessions will be of interest to you.  Everyone is welcome to attend!

The Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (SDRCC) is proud to partner with the ADR Institute of Manitoba to deliver the public portion of its 2018 Mediator and Arbitrator Conference. The program features presentations and panel sessions by guest speakers, including SDRCC arbitrators, mediators, clients and collaborators.

Under the theme “Protection of Rights in Sport Dispute Resolution”, this year’s program will address several current themes and issues in sport dispute resolution. With the breakfast, networking breaks and lunch included, as well as its innovative student pairing program, the event offers participants several opportunities to meet, interact and discuss dispute prevention and resolution in the Canadian sport context.

The partnership between ADRIM and SDRCC is specifically intended to deliver an exciting program and to provide a unique professional development and networking opportunity to ADR professionals based in Central Canada.

In recent years, the conference program has also been recognized for continuing professional development credits by the law societies of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick and by ADRIC. Credit recognition for this conference will be announced as soon as confirmed.

Student registrants will have an opportunity to participate in a pairing program with SDRCC roster members during the lunch hour.
