ADRIM 2019 AGM & Luncheon: Using Family Systems Theory in the Workplace

Please join ADRIM for our AGM & Luncheon on May 31, 2019 – FREE! (Please RSVP by May 24th.)

Given recent momentum in family mediation in Manitoba, we have invited two specialists to speak about lessons from family mediation for ADR professionals.

Incoming Chair of Family Mediation Canada, Eleanor Moore and Ron Bewski will explore the use of genograms and family systems theory concepts that can help the mediator to assess, prepare and mediate workplace conflicts.

Speakers:
Eleanor Moore, BRS has been a practicing mediator for over 25 years. As a worker in child welfare for 18 years, a counselor with Family Conciliation for 10 years, and an Associate for Facilitated Solutions for 6 years, she brings a wealth of experience to working with families.  Her work history includes mediation in child protection contexts, parent/teen conflicts, divorce/separation, custody and access disputes and workplace conflict. Eleanor also provides senior clinical leadership and program oversight to the Family Conciliation Services team of family mediators and acts as a parent coach.  Eleanor is the past president of Family Mediation Manitoba and the new President of Family Mediation Canada.

Ron Bewski, MSW, has been an active social worker for over 43 years doing healthcare, child development, social services and family therapy and mediation work.  Ron was the Director of Family Conciliation Services for 17 years as a Family Services Area Director where he provided clinical direction, training and program development for the team of 14 family mediators and oversight of five social services for families for 11 years. He also worked closely with the Family Court to improve clinical services for separating families and is now part of the Facilitated Solutions team of family practitioners.
